Just curious- did you get the RC1? Working at a major university, I put in 6 RC1 applications. 5 of the applicants worked diligently. One waited until last-minute, broke every "rule" of grant preparation, barely met the deadline- and was the only one who was funded! I guess it goes to show that no matter how hard you try, getting funded still comes down to having an innovative hypothesis and a great project idea!
